By providing increased requirements of brain L-methylfolate, Deplin® increases the synthesis of serontonin, norepinephrine and dopamine. When taken daily with your antidepressant, it results in a boost in the benefits of antidepressants.1,2,24
- L-methylfolate is needed by depressed patients with suboptimal folate to regulate the synthesis of monoamines (serotonin, norepinephrine and dopamine) and known as a trimonoamine modulator (TMM).1,2
- By managing trimonoamine neurotransmitter synthesis, L-methylfolate, when taken with antidepressants, improves benefits.1,2
- Deplin® 7.5mg (L-methylfolate) is well tolerated and has a low potential for drug interactions.23,25
Deplin® (L-methylfolate) is an orally administered medical food for use only under medical supervision for the dietary management of suboptimal folate levels in depressed patients.
