Deplin® (L-methylfolate) is a prescription medical food. It is used only under medical supervision for the dietary management of depression. Medical foods are regulated by the F.D.A. and address nutritional needs related to a disease state that cannot be met with diet alone. In depression, some people may have an imbalance of L-methylfolate levels in their brain. Deplin® helps manage levels of L-methylfolate needed for the production of important chemicals linked to mood (serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine.)

Deplin® provides the brain with the needed L-methylfolate to make the brain a better “partner” to the antidepressant your doctor has prescribed.
