Dr. John Zajecka

JOHN ZAJECKA, M.D.

John Zajecka, M.D., is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Clinical Director of the Depression Treatment and Research Center at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, and Rush North Shore Medical Center in Skokie, Illinois. Dr. Zajecka has also been in private practice since 1988.

Dr. Zajecka's expertise includes the study and treatment of depression, bipolar disorder and anxiety disorders. He has authored numerous publications and conducted research in affective disorders, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, treatment-resistant mood disorders, and safety and side effect issues related to psychotropic medications. He has a special interest in the management of treatment-resistant mood disorders, including the long-term outcomes of this population.
